I started with a lining from what I think was a cotton/poly broadcloth scrap, sewing boning in the casing down to each seam (roughly, I kinda improvised the boning placement) and then pinning it to the skirt to test the fit
I believe this dress is 80s, and it is such an interesting blend of inspirations, from 1920s sailor-inspired middy to 1940s strong shoulder day dress
